Data Protection Statement

Basic principles
This data protection statement is intended to inform users of this website about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the website operator, mpc networks GmbH.
We take the protection of your data very seriously and will handle your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the legal requirements. Given that new technologies and the ongoing development of this website may trigger amendments to this data protection statement, we recommend that you re-read the data protection statement in full at regular intervals.
Please consult Art. 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for definitions of terms used (e.g. “personal data” or “processing”).

Name and contact information of the data controller responsible for processing, and of the company’s data protection officer
This data protection information applies to data processing by:
Data controller: mpc networks GmbH, Max-Planck-Str. 22, 70806 Kornwestheim, Germany, Email: info@mpcnet.de, Telephone: +49 (0)7154 1786-0, Fax: +49 (0)7154 1786-56 There is no legal requirement for a data protection officer on the basis of the number of people employed in our offices.

Collection and processing of personal data
The website operator shall only collect, use and disclose your personal data if this is allowed under the law, or if you consent to your data being collected.
All information which serves to identify your person and can be traced back to you – e.g. your name, email address and telephone number – is regarded as personal data.
You may visit this website without providing any information about your person. However, we do store your (non-identifying) access data to this website for the purpose of improving our online offering. These access data include, for example, any files requested by you and the name of your internet provider. These data are anonymised to prevent any inferences regarding your identity.
We process personal data such as first name, surname, IP address, email address, place of residence, postcode and information entered into the contact form. We only process personal data with the specific consent of the users concerned, and in compliance with the applicable data protection provisions. Personal data are processed on the grounds of our justifiable interest in performing our contractually agreed services and in optimising our online offering.

Access data
On the grounds of our justifiable interest (see Article 6 Para. 1 Point (f) of the GDPR), we, the website operator or page provider, collect data regarding access to the website and store these as “server log files” on the website’s server. The following data are recorded in this manner:

  • Website visited
  • Time of access
  • Quantity of data transmitted in bytes
  • Source/link from which you accessed the webpage
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used

Server log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and are then deleted. The data are stored for security reasons, e.g. in order to clarify any incidents of misuse. If data must be stored for the purpose of providing evidence, they shall be exempt from erasure until the incident in question has been fully resolved.

Disclosure of your personal data
We will only disclose your personal data to a third party if

  • it is lawful to disclose your data without your consent or, if this is not the case, you have specifically consented to the transmission of your data beyond the scope of the contract,
  • the transmission of your data is required for the provision of the offers or services which you wish to use, or
  • these data are required by a subcontractor or agent employed in connection with the provision of the offers or services. Unless you are specifically informed otherwise, such auxiliaries are only entitled to use the data to the extent required for the provision of the offer or service (where our service providers come into contact with your personal data, we ensure that these providers comply with the requirements of data protection legislation in the same manner) or
  • an enforceable administrative or court order exists.

Cookies
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small files which your browser creates automatically and which are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your device and do not contain any viruses, trojans or other harmful software.
Cookies record information associated with the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we can obtain direct knowledge of your identity through the use of cookies.
We use cookies to provide you with a more pleasant experience when you use our online offering. For example, we use “session cookies” to detect that you have already visited particular pages on our website. These are automatically deleted when you leave our website.
The data processed by cookies are required for the aforementioned purposes in order to safeguard our justifiable interests and those of third parties in accordance with Article 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 Point (f) of the GDPR.
Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that cookies are not stored on your computer, or so that a warning is always displayed before a new cookie is created. If you completely deactivate cookies, however, you may not be able to use all of the functions of our website.

Handling contact information
If you contact us as the website operator via any of the contact options offered, your details will be stored for use in processing and responding to your query. These data will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent.

User rights
As a user, you have the right to obtain information, on request and free of charge, regarding what personal data are stored in connection with you. You also have the right to the rectification of inaccurate data and to the imposition of processing restrictions on or the erasure of your personal data. If applicable, you may also assert your right to data portability. If you suspect that your data have been processed unlawfully, you may submit a complaint to the relevant supervisory authority.

Erasure of data
You are entitled to demand the erasure of your data insofar as this wish does not conflict with a statutory obligation to store data (e. g. telecommunications data retention). Data stored by us will be erased if they are no longer required for their intended purpose and there are no legally required storage periods. If the data cannot be erased because they are required for permissible legal purposes, a data processing restriction will be imposed. In this case, access to the data will be blocked and they will not be processed for other purposes.

Right to object
Users of this website may make use of their right to object and refuse the processing of their personal data at any time.
If you wish to have the personal data stored in connection with you rectified, blocked or erased, or if you wish to receive information about these data, or you have questions about the collection, processing or use of your personal data, or you wish to withdraw any consent previously given to us, please contact us at the following email address: info@mpcnet.de.

Illegal usage of contact data listed on this website
We hereby expressly deny permission for third parties to send us unsolicited advertising and information using the contact details which we are legally obliged to publish in the section “Company information”. The website operators expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event that unsolicited advertising information, for example in the form of spam emails, is received.

Validity of and modifications to this data protection statement
The ongoing development of our website and offers made via the website, or changes in legal or administrative requirements, may necessitate modifications to this data protection statement. The latest version of the data protection statement is always available on our website at www.mpcnet.de/customerprivacy and www.mpcnet.de/applicantprivacy for you to consult and print out.
